NSS Volunteer Of GDC Ghagwal Won Gold At National Kabbadi Competition

NSS Volunteer of Govt. Degree College Ghagwal, Ms. Kritika Sharma d/o Sh. Sanjay Kumar, r/o village Harsath, Tehsil Ghagwal, won gold at National Kabbadi Competition held at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh on 8th January, 2023. She is the student of Semester Ist, with class roll no. 87, of our College and is also enrolled as a NSS volunteer. She actively participates in the events conducted under NSS, and has a panache for being proactive towards her duties and studies. Despite there being a lack of a Physical Director or even a PTI in the College, she herself learnt the skills and rules of Kabbadi from YouTube and honed her talent by playing with her college-mates.
She belongs to a BPL family where her father works in a local shop and earns less than 8000 rupees per month. Without any support from any corner she herself made it possible and participated from the team of Rajasthan, as there was no team from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. Her team won gold and a cash prize of Rs. 50000. She got selected at National level and she is going to participate in another National level event on 28th January, 2023 at Modi Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.
