G.D.C Ghagwal celebrated Independence Day on 15th of August 2021 in the college  premises. The National Flag was hoisted by Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma, Principal, GDC  Ghagwal in the presence of teaching, non-teaching staff and students of the college.  

After the National Flag hoisting, the National Anthem was sung, which was followed by a  short speech on importance of the Independence Day, delivered by Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma.  He motivated the students for being a responsible citizen of the country and encouraged the people  to abide by the rules and regulations. He laid emphasis on the equality.  

Prof. Ramzan Ali (HOD Education) was convener of the event and was  organized by organizing committee that constituted of Dr. Rajni Bala (HOD  Sociology) and Dr. Deepika Sharma (HOD Dogri). In the end, Prof. Ramzan Ali gave the formal vote of thanks. 

Finally, the celebration ended with the pledge taking ceremony in Hindi, English and Dogri  languages.
