Achievements /Activities for the month of December 2022

Department of Dogri of Govt. Degree College, Ghagwal organized various cultural activities on ‘Dogri Manyata Diwas’ in the college premises.

On 30th December 2022 Visit to Narsingh Temple Ghagwal

The students and staff of GDC Ghagwal visited historical Narsingh Temple, Ghagwal on 30th December 2022 under the banner of Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat. The Narsingh Temple of Ghagwal has historical importance for the region. Every year a huge mela is organised at the Temple for one week. Many vendors of the region get an opportunity to sell their handloom items in the mela. Many eatable stalls,fun activities, child plays,toys and other attractive things makes the mela an attractive destination for the visitors. 

The students of GDC Ghagwal enjoyed mela by visiting the historical Temple as well as different stalls. Students also enjoyed lunch served at the Temple. At Narsingh temple  food is served three times a day  to all the visitors as a routine activity.

Extempore activity organised under Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav

An extempore was organised by GDC Ghagwal on 31st of December 2022 under the theme of ‘Bhartiya Bhasha utsav’ under the programme of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. About ten students participated in extempore in Hindi and Dogri language organised on different current environmental issues to promote language harmony among students and youth with rich cultural oneness of our nation with the objective of ‘Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat’
